The LSM6DSK320X is a compact, low-power, high-performance IMU that integrates a 3-axis digital low-g accelerometer with selectable full scale up to ±16 g, a 3-axis digital high-g accelerometer up to ±320 g, and a 3‑axis digital gyroscope. Its advanced architecture processes acceleration and angular-rate data through four independent channels: User Interface (UI), OIS, EIS, and high-g acceleration.

Designed for demanding motion-sensing applications, the LSM6DSK320X enables intense movement tracking, shock and concussion monitoring, and other high-dynamic use cases.

The device features a new gyroscope architecture with a fully differential readout chain and enhanced mechanical symmetry, delivering outstanding vibration immunity and resilience to external disturbances. It also supports edge AI functions through a finite state machine (FSM) for configurable motion detection and a machine learning core (MLC) for context awareness, enabling intelligent features for personal electronics, IoT, sports and wearables, and drone applications.

To optimize power consumption, the LSM6DSK320X includes adaptive self-configuration (ASC), which automatically adjusts sensor settings in real time based on detected motion patterns or MLC events, without host intervention. The digital subsystem also integrates ST’s sensor fusion low-power (SFLP) technology for spatial orientation.

In addition, a dedicated high-g acceleration sensor with an independent channel and dedicated filtering ensures reliable shock detection, making the device well suited for sports, concussion detection, impact detection, emergency call, and drone applications.
