The STEVAL-ISA120V1 demonstration board implements an LED power supply module characterized by a high power factor, based on devices from the VIPer family in flyback configuration and with a TSM1052 as a constant current controller.
Key benefits of the application are that there are no high voltage electrolytic capacitors, and users can evaluate the influence of output bulk electrolytic capacitors on overall performance and consider replacing them with much smaller ceramic components, possibly implementing a non-electrolytic configuration.
