IoTecha was born at the nexus of two powerful trends: transportation electrification and smart grid evolution. After launching our silicon as a part of the STMicroelectronics family, the founding members of IoTecha saw the need to provide highly integrated software and hardware solutions for the Electric Vehicle charging infrastructure that accelerate time to market. EV charging is a great IoT example where Operations Technologies meet Information Technologies. The market needs solution providers capable of bringing these two worlds together. IoTecha’s goal is to simplify the development and implementation of Smart EV Charging Smart Grid for Electric Vehicle (EV) integration.

Products and services of IoTecha
IoTecha products include V2G and HomePlug protocol analyzer, Combined Charging System on Module (and custom modules), EV charging stations and IoT.ON™ cloud-based services. IoTecha’s products and services are designed to substantially accelerate time to market and lower development costs for our customers while reducing the cost of ownership of EV charging stations based on our platform.
IoTecha’s team helped to create HomePlug Powerline communication Technology and while at STMicroelectronics designed and built ST2100, the most integrated HomePlug Powerline Communication System-on-Chip. This chip enables powerline communications across IoTecha’s portfolio.
- Combined Charging System on Module (and custom modules): An EV charging controller (ECC) that enables EV Charger manufacturers to shorten time to market and minimize development effort while producing an intelligent charger, based on the ST2100. Depending on the version, the controller may use additional ST components for improved performance and cybersecurity.
- CCS-C80A: This EV charger provides up to 19.2 kW of charging power at 80A. It supports ISO 15118 high-level communications with the EV as well as OCPP 1.6+ to implement both plug and charge and Smart Charging over a variety of connectivity options (LAN, wi-fi, LTE, etc).
- CCS-C80C: The white label EV charging column features loTecha’s industry-leading Level 2 AC Smart Charging module, preintegrated in a galvanized steel post. Four versions are available - with optional LTE and an optional disconnect switch. For commercial customers and multifamily residences.
- CCS-C48A: The EV charger has a maximum rating of 48A, and its power output can be adjusted to accommodate existing capacity. The CCS-C48A is fully compatible with ISO15118-20 and ISO15118-2, enabling seamless communication between the charger and the electric vehicle.
- IoT.ON Intelligent Power Platform can manage edge equipment, ingest incoming data, and apply advanced big data analytics, interface with other stakeholders’ systems and platforms and offer operational related and information related services.
- V2G and HomePlug protocol Analyzer: IoTecha’s HPGP analyzer enables in-depth analysis of HPGP and V2G communication with a noninvasive packet capture and protocol analyzer. It can display low-level HPGP MPDUs (frames transmitted on the PLC) as well as decrypted/re- assembled L2 traffic.
