Introducing the Piezo MEMS design challenge
In support of the MEMS community, ST invites students worldwide to participate in the Piezo MEMS design challenge. This competition offers a unique opportunity to propose innovative piezoelectric MEMS designs and win a slot in the multi-project wafer shuttle at Lab-in-Fab, the world’s first 8" piezoelectric platform with over 2000 m² of cleanroom space.
- Who can apply? BSc/BEng, MSc, and PhD students enrolled through 2026
- Submission window: September 19 – November 30, 2025
- Abstract review: Begins December 1, 2025
- Finalist notification: January 12, 2026
- Award ceremony: During IEEE MEMS 2026
Up to three winning projects will be selected and announced at the conference. Winners will develop a fully functional MEMS prototype at Lab-in-Fab.
